Every May, organizations around the world mark Internal Audit Awareness Month a time to spotlight the often-unseen work of internal auditors who safeguard integrity, improve processes, and support sound governance.

At Java House, we joined this global observance with a series of engaging activities that brought audit awareness to the forefront of our teams.

Raising Awareness Across Teams

Our Internal Audit team led insightful sessions with key stakeholders across the business. These sessions helped demystify internal audit’s role, not as an enforcer, but as a strategic partner supporting compliance, risk management, and operational excellence.

To keep the learning fun and inclusive, staff participated in a fast-paced Kahoot! quiz designed to highlight key audit concepts in an interactive way. The quiz sparked healthy competition and improved overall awareness across departments.

A Visit from IIA Kenya

A standout moment of the month was a courtesy visit by the Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA Kenya). Their presence affirmed the value of building robust internal systems and aligning with industry-wide best practices.
