Pika Chakula - July Guest Chef

July at Java was all about bold flavours and unforgettable plates, thanks to our Guest Chef, Pika Chakula. With creativity, heart, and a touch of spice, she brought dishes that turned everyday meals into memorable experiences.

Her Shakshuka Full Breakfast quickly became the go-to morning feast, rich, hearty, and worth slowing down for.

Lunchtime saw fans diving into the Veggie Stack Burger, a wholesome bite that packed just as much character as its meaty counterparts. For those chasing heat, the Chilli Chicken Wings delivered that fiery kick, balanced perfectly with Java’s signature comfort.

Seafood lovers weren’t left behind, the Fish Tikka Burger and Fried Fish with Poussin Chips were a celebration of freshness, flavor, and flair.

And, If there was one dish that stole the show, it was the Kuku wa Kupaka. Creamy, rich, and deeply rooted in Swahili tradition, it quickly became a fan favorite. Guests raved about its perfect balance of coconut, spice, and smoky grill, the kind of flavor that feels both nostalgic and exciting. For many, it wasn’t just a meal; it was a memory served on a plate.

The Guest Chef Series is about more than just food; it’s about stories, creativity, and connection. Pika Chakula’s menu captured this spirit beautifully, leaving diners not just satisfied but delighted.

We celebrate her contribution and the joy she brought to our tables. Here’s to the flavours that made us pause, smile, and say: Truly unforgettable.
