At Java House, we believe in more than just coffee and meals, we believe in celebrating creativity, self-expression, and community. That’s exactly what the “This Is Me” Art Competition is all about.
Now in its yearly tradition, the competition invites young artists between the ages of 6 and 11 to put their imagination on canvas and share their unique perspectives of the world. This year’s edition was nothing short of inspiring, filled with colour, laughter, and proud smiles from both kids and their families.
The Theme: This Is Me
This year’s competition carried the powerful theme “This Is Me.” It was more than an art challenge, it was an invitation for children to tell their stories through colour, shapes, and imagination. Every brushstroke and pencil line reflected their individuality, their dreams, and how they see the world. From bold expressions of joy to tender glimpses of daily life, the artworks reminded us that creativity is one of the purest ways to say, “This is who I am.”
The Event: A Day of Fun & Family
The grand finale took place at Java House KMA, where families turned out in full support of their budding artists. It was more than just an art showcase, it was a full day of fun with interactive games, giveaways, and plenty of Java treats to keep the energy high. The atmosphere was buzzing with joy and excitement as the young artists proudly stood by their work.
The Top 3 Winners
After rounds of judging, our panel selected the top three winners from the ten shortlisted finalists. Each of these young talents blew us away with their originality and skill:
- 🥇 [Name of Winner 1] – Artwork Title / Description
- 🥈 [Name of Winner 2] – Artwork Title / Description
- 🥉 [Name of Winner 3] – Artwork Title / Description
These three were awarded during the event in front of their families, peers, and a cheering community, proof that talent shines brightest when celebrated.
The People’s Choice Award
But the celebration didn’t end there. The remaining seven finalists had another shot at glory through the People’s Choice Award. Their artworks were shared on Java’s social media platforms, where fans and followers got the chance to vote for their favourite.
The online community responded with overwhelming support, and from this process emerged our People’s Choice Winner:
🏆 [Name of People’s Choice Winner] – Artwork Title / Description
This extra layer of recognition gave every child an opportunity to shine and reminded us that art truly connects people in the most joyful ways.
Why It Matters
The This Is Me Art Competition isn’t just about winning, it’s about giving young talent a platform, building confidence, and celebrating creativity in all its forms. Each drawing told a story, each stroke carried meaning, and together they reminded us that every child’s voice deserves to be heard.
Looking Ahead
As we wrap up another colourful edition of the competition, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants, winners, and families who made this event such a success. We can’t wait to see what the next edition brings, more creativity, more joy, and more stories told through the eyes of young artists.
Until next year, keep drawing, keep dreaming, and keep saying proudly: This is me. 🎨
